On the first day of LuxLive 2016, Aurora® attended a press conference held by Gooee®, the enterprise IoT lighting platform, for the handover of Gooee’s first Development Kits.
Following a review by Jan Kemeling, Chief Commercial Officer, of Gooee's successes and achievements since the company's previous visit to LuxLive in 2015, Aurora Lighting was officially presented with its kit alongside Feilo Sylvania and John Cullen Lighting.
Each Development Kit provides OEMs with access to Gooee’s IoT Gateway, Wireless Interface Module (WIM) development boards – the link between the Gooee Cloud and hardware – smart sensors, Application Process Interface (API) keys – for enhanced security – and entry to Gooee’s portal.
Simon Coombes, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Gooee, says the Development Kits are yet another stage in realising IoT lighting for all: “The necessity for lighting within most business applications is obvious, and the IoT can capitalise on this to save money in all aspects of a building’s efficiency,” he says. “With the Development Kits now in the OEMs hand, it won’t be long before the market can realise its true potential.”
Jan Kemeling, Chief Commercial Officer at Gooee, Neil Salt, Aurora's IoT Managing Director & CMO, John Cullen Lighting's Peter van der Kolk, Chief Executive Officer, and Bastiaan de Groot, Global Director of Strategy and New Business Development at Feilo Sylvania (L-R)
Neil Salt, Managing Director of the IoT Division at Aurora Group, said “This is not just a vision anymore, this is becoming a reality. Implementation and testing is the final step for us, so it's an extremely exciting time.”
Exhibiting at LuxLive 2016, Aurora unveiled its smart lighting proposition and demonstrated how a Gooee enabled, Aurora smart lighting solution will enable significantly enhanced building intelligence providing energy efficiency, human engagement and space optimisation through the single essential network of lighting.
